Decatur and Midtown continue to dominate |
Tuesday, 30 October 2007 |
Into the fourth week of the Fall 2007 Atlanta Australian Rules Football League and there was no letting up by the two top teams. In two very uneven games Decatur and Midtown totally dominated their rivals with two big wins. Its surprising to see the fortunes of Druid Hills and Roswell having changed so much in just 12 months, as both teams fought out this very same competition to the last game this time last year. Don't believe me read it here! On Saturday though it was the Midtown Bombers totally dominating the early game over Druid Hills then the Decatur Devils cruising through the later game over the Roswell Rebels. Midtown Bombers 5.4 10.9 17.16 26.20 (176) Druid Hills Highlanders 0.1 2.1 3.1 3.2 (20) Roswell Rebels 1.2 1.3 3.5 3.6 (24) Decatur Devils 6.1 11.8 16.12 23.16 (154) Match reports are here. |

Decatur blitz over Bombers and take top spot |
Monday, 22 October 2007 |
The Decatur Devils continued their great form to down last seasons premiers the Midtown Bombers to take the lead in the 2007 Fall AARFL season. In perfect conditions the Devils got out to a good start kicking 4 goals to 1 in the first term and were never headed. A fight back in the third term by the Bombers got them close but the Decatur outfit steadied the ship and went on to a solid win. In the other game Druid Hills got on the winners board with a win over Roswell who are struggling again this season. Druid Hills were just a little too polished for their northern rivals and held of all challenges. Roswell suffering badly from injuries and absences will need to improve if they are to trouble any teams this year. Decatur Devils 4.1 8.2 11.6 17.7 (109) Midtown Bombers 1.4 4.8 8.10 9.13 (67) Druid Hills Highlanders 4.1 9.4 11.7 16.9 (105) Roswell Rebels 1.3 4.6 6.10 7.12 (54) Check out some photos in the gallery . Reports are here for your pleasure. |
