All rules currently played in the AFL will apply unless mentioned here or are deemed irrelevant. Umpires in control of the game decisions are final.

Teams will be required to have 8 players to take the field. Teams must play with all players present and in uniform at the game on the field utilizing up to 10 players before a bench player is available (for games at Dekalb Memorial Park). Once teams have 11 players each team can utilize 1 player as an interchange player that can come on and off the field as needed replacing players from their team.

If both Captains agree a lesser number can be played, but only under special circumstances with agreement by the respective Team Leaders. Teams with more players than their opposition team can only place on the field as many players as the other team has.The rest of your players can then be used as interchange players.

Note: Remember the team with the lesser number of players must play to their maximum until they reach 10 on the field.

If teams playing to their maximum in attendance sustain an injured player that requires him to leave the field then the opposition team shall also remove a player to keep the onfield numbers even. The umpire of the game shall adjudicate if a player is legitimately injured. (Note: Fatigue is not considered an injury) Your spare player taken off the field can then be used at an interchange player until the opposition injured player returns to the field or the game is completed.

Teams that have players arrive after the commencement of the game can use those players however once the game commences the on field team sizes will not change unless for injury as stated above or both Captains and the Umpire agree.

Teams will be required to help supply officials for the game where possible. One to be a goal umpire and one to assist with scoring, stats and timekeeping. These officials can be friends or even relatives. Bring em dow we will show them what they need to do.

Ball out of play. The ball going out of play, other than "on the full", will be brought back into play as a free kick by the opposing team of which team touched the ball last prior to it crossing the line. The exception to this rule is the 30 yards either side of the behind posts which will be marked with a cone. Inside this 30 yard area the ball will be thrown in by the nearest offensive team player under instructions by the umpire.

Game times: Each game will be 4 x 15 min quarters. With each break being 3 minutes.

25 yard penalties will be applied instead of 50yards.

Players sent off for 10 minutes can be replaced. Second offense by the team the player cannot be replaced. Third offense team forfeits. Players can be sent off for, charging another player with no intent for the ball, striking or kicking a player, audible obscenities or gestures, disputing an umpires decision, undue rough play and generally being a Jackass will get you tossed.!!
