What do I need to play? |

The one of the best the things about this sport it takes little money or equipment to get out there and play. As the League supplies uniforms and the equipment like "footys" and the field set ups, about all you need to do is come down. Playing competition games its recommended a pair of "footy boots" (cleats) be worn as we play on grass fields that can vary in footing. We also play regardless of rain and often other climatic experiences so some grip on the surface comes in handy at times. The League has also shorts and socks in matching colors for your team if you want to buy them. These are not mandatory at this time but certainly make the team look a little more serious about their sport. Your team leaders will advise you if you need to purchase or acquire these. Both shorts and socks ar $10 a pair and can be bought on Saturday mornings at the games while stocks last. There maybe some used shorts etc. at some of the early games you can pick up at 1/2 price. So thats all you need, not much at all really. Oh a mouthguard comes in handy at times as accidental contact can sometimes occur above the shoulders. Wisely as in all team ball sports its better to be safe than sorry there.
