|
Another week of games coming up and again two interesting games. With some rain forecast for all day Friday the dry weather footy we have seen in previous weeks might be put on hold this week. This week league leaders Druid Hills take on winless Decatur and although there were encouraging signs last week for Decatur the injury to their star player David Sullivan will mean they will find it tough this week. Druid Hills are rolling along and although they were light on players last week their comprehensive defeat of Roswell showed they don't need a lot of players for success. With the possibility of Crist returning they look a good chance of keeping their undefeated record intact.
In the other clash Roswell coming off a dissappointing game last week take on the improving Midtown Bombers. Both teams have strength in numbers and experience and the last time they met only a few points separating them at the end of the day with Roswell narrow winners. With Damien "Dogger" Sheehan and Curtis "Cujo" Jones in full flight Midtown look the favorites over the Rebels this week. The Women's series hits week two and with the attendance of a few more players it is hoped a full game will be played. Judith Stein impressed last week playing for the Men's Decatur team later in the day and kicking two goals. Kim Wilkins and rookie Katie Greenberg also played well in the pick up game last week and will be back for more of the same. The women's game commences at 9.30am. |
